Hey little traveller, welcome to Travel Diaries with your buddy.

You found your way here — somehow, someway. And honestly, that makes me smile. :)

This blog isn’t fancy. It’s not some big, professional thing.
It’s just... me. A little space where I can write, breathe, and maybe share a few thoughts with whoever’s listening.

Today, I want to share a piece of my heart — my experience in Kashmir.
It’s one of those places that doesn’t feel real — like it was taken straight out of a storybook and gently placed on Earth.

The mountains stand tall and silent, always wrapped in snow, like ancient giants watching over the valley. The air is fresh and cool. Everything feels calm, like the world has slowed down just a little.

In the early mornings, mist floats softly above the ground like something magical. The lakes — especially Dal Lake — are so still they look like mirrors. Shikaras glide slowly, like a dream drifting through time.

Yeah… that was my view of Kashmir. :)

We didn’t plan the trip too well and ended up going in winter — but maybe that was the best mistake we could’ve made. We saw nature at its most breathtaking .

Our journey started on a Friday night. We took a bus from Kerala to Bangalore. Our flight was at 10 AM, and we reached home around 7 AM. You can imagine the tension!

We freshened up, scrambled for last-minute packing, and began the great cab hunt. After about 15 minutes, we finally got one. Bangalore is known for two things — the weather and the traffic. We were panicking, but by some miracle, we made it to the airport an hour before departure.

Checked in, boarded the flight... and then had a layover in Delhi. From the sky, Delhi looked wild — highways packed with traffic that seemed endless.

And then… Kashmir looked like I just landed in heaven. As we descended, the view of snow-covered mountains took our breath away. By 5 PM, we landed. The moment we stepped out of the airport, we were hit by the icy cold — freezing instantly.

We took a cab to our hotel. The sun had already set, but we were too excited to just sit inside. So we decided to visit Dal Lake at night. It was pitch dark, and honestly, we couldn’t see much — but still, being there felt like magic.
